Opening Date:        September 1, 2009

Position Available: Bozeman American Legion Class AA Head Baseball Coach

Where:                    Bozeman Montana

Beginning Date:     November 15, 2010
 

Work Year:  Part time, March – August (Practice begins in mid-March, regular season games start in mid-April and run through July, post season play can run into mid-August depending on success of team)

Compensation:       $4,000 - $8,000 D.O.E.

Coach Candidate Requirements:

• Previous baseball coaching experience preferred with a minimum of at least two years of successful experience as a high school, or American Legion baseball coach in some capacity.  Applicants with less coaching experience may apply.

• Candidates need knowledge of the fundamental skills and techniques, as well as the advanced techniques in the sport of baseball; possess personality and character traits appropriate to American Legion baseball coaching leadership.

• Successful ability to teach, supervise, advocate and model appropriate behavior, and character traits to high school age athletes.

• Demonstrate successful management and organizational skills; and have an ability to work with players, coaching staff, parents, and program administrators.
