Coaches:

Spikes Head Coach: Rhett Dunn

Rhett Dunn is from Missoula and grew up in Florence, Montana. He played baseball through his freshman year of high school. He took the next two years off to focus on football and then played baseball his senior year under Coach Messer. After graduating, Rhett enrolled at MSU and played a semester of football. He returned after his freshman year at MSU to play one more year under coach Messer for the Bitterroot Bucs. He is currently a junior at MSU majoring in Health Enhancement with a minor in coaching. Teaching and coaching are Rhett's goals after he finishes school so he is thankful for Coach Messer's offer to involve him in Bozeman's legion baseball program. He is looking forward to contributing to the our program.

Assistant Coach: Dan McKinney

Dan is from Corvallis Montana and also played for the Bitterroot Redsox organization for three years as a pitcher, first baseman and outfielder. In his rookie year the Redsox won the state championship and went onto compete at the Regional tournament in Spokane Washington. He is currently enrolled at MSU, majoring in Health Enhancement K-12 with a minor in coaching. After college Dan plans to teach and coach. He is very excited about the chance to work with the Bozeman American Legion program and the opportunity to begin his coaching career. His team goal for the year is to continually every day, and in every way get a little bit better.

Assistant Coach: Clay Schroeder

Clay is from Florence, Montana and has played baseball since he was 5 years old. He played 3 years for the Bitterroot Bucs organization; 1 year at Division II, Regis University in Denver, Colorado; and 1 year at Division III, Whitworth College in Spokane, Washington. Clay is currently attending MSU where he studying Political Science. His goal in coaching for this program is to share his knowledge and love for the game that he has learned throughout his baseball career as an American Legion and collegiate player.
